Robert (Bobby) Lee Ogle
03/30/1966 - 10/04/2025
Sadly, Bobby passed away on Saturday 4th October 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard A. Ogle (Reb) and Donea F. Ogle. He is survived by his son Richard A. Ogle II (Elizabeth) and Susan, his brother Eddie Ogle (EJ) and wife Carol, his sister Katrina Bajo and nephews Ricky, Taylor and Brandon Bajo as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Born March 30th 1966 at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico the family then moved to Texas before settling in Ocean Springs, Mississippi where he graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1984. Early on Bobby developed a love for the rodeo especially bull riding and was often photographed wearing his stenson as seen in his high school year book one of many that he would own throughout his lifetime. He also had a passion for racing and NASCAR and along with friend Mike Roe spent many an evening tinkering under the bonnet of a car. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma for which he had surgery at UAB Birmingham, Alabama and fearing that he would lose his eye and in true Bobby style he picked out two artificial ones, the Rebel Flag and the Stars & Stripes (thankfully he kept his eye) but this was not the end of the story. Having been on a long term course of oral chemotherapy Bobby had to endure further surgery in October 2018 before finally getting the all clear in late 2021 however in early 2022 he received a diagnosis of Stage IV Metastatic Colon Cancer. Always a fighter Bobbys attitude was just fix me and he was an inspiration to other fellow sufferers of this horrible disease and any new experimental treatments he was always the first to say let me try it and hopefully it may help someone else down the road, he even joked that they should write a paper on him who knows maybe in the future they will. On behalf of Bobby, I would especially like to express my thanks to the Roe family for taking him under their wing for the past 30+ years, the Knight family, the Mullins family, Roni and Chad Porche, Susan, Adam and all his other mother hens Sierra, Connie, Debbie P, Debbie F and Heather who stepped up when I couldn't. No words can express my gratitude and thanks to all the Drs and nursing staff who treated Bobby so kindly over the years, Dr Ira & Samone Thorne, Dr's Sweeny, Mayes & Hetzler, Dr's Daughtery & Tabor and special gratitude and thanks to Dr Bryan Bienvenu, GG and all the nursing staff at Mary Bird Perkins. As per Bobby's wishes some of his ashes will be taken by the family to be buried alongside his parents in Copperas Cove Texas and then next year on his 60th birthday we will be taking him on one last trip to Florabama. A Celebration of Life is planned for November 15th at Lil Johnnys, details to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLin Funeral Home.
