Allen Joseph Daigle, Sr., age 93, of Denham Springs, LA passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
He was born in Napoleonville, LA on September 4, 1932, to the late Luke and Ida Vicknair Daigle. He lived most of his life in St. Bernard Parish and relocated to Denham Springs, LA after Hurricane Katrina. He graduated from Warren Eastern High School in 1953, thereafter enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He then graduated from Moler College in Cosmetology and Barbering. He worked at Del's Barber Shop on Tulane Avenue in New Orleans until later becoming the co-owner of Arrow Barber Shop on Jefferson Hwy in Jefferson, LA.
Allen was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching Saints football and LSU sports. He could talk to anyone as he never met a stranger. Allen was very kind, caring and generous. He was a devoted Catholic and dedicated husband that loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and brothers, Huey Daigle, Thomas Daigle and Herbert Daigle.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Jackie Gros Daigle; his daughter, Deborah Daigle Dugas and son, Allen Daigle, Jr. (Sheryl); proud grandfather of Keith Daigle (Ashton), Brittany and Zachary Dugas; loving great grandfather of Jack and Lily Daigle.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Daigle, may be made to masses preferably in memory of Mr. Allen Daigle, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70817 on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:30am with visitation beginning at 10am.
