Robert W. “Bill” Oliver, 52, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a brief battle with cancer.
Born February 10, 1973 in Albion, he was a son of Keith P. Oliver, Sr. and Vicky L. (Peck) Oliver. Bill graduated from Lyndonville High School in the class of 1991. He went on to earn an associate’s degree from Bryant & Stratton College. He married the former Kristine M. Lake on October 25, 1997. Bill worked in the IT sector for his entire career, first as an IT Specialist for the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and lastly for Genesee Community College in Batavia. Active in his children’s lives, Bill enjoyed volunteering for the Boy Scouts as an assistant scoutmaster for troops 25 and 28. He also was a parishioner at the New Life Alliance Church in Medina. A loving son, husband, father, brother and friend, he will be missed by all.
Bill was predeceased by his father, Keith in 2018.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Kristine Oliver; his mother, Vicky Oliver; three children, Ronnie (Brentan) Rossow, Brent Oliver and Kristi Oliver; a brother, Keith (Melanie) Oliver, Jr.; cousins that he considered sisters, Jamie Seefeldt and Toni (Shawn) Stennett; and several nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 1PM at the New Life Alliance Church, 4136 Shelby Basin Rd., Medina. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
