Robert William Orde, age 94, of Sheboygan, passed away on October 16, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Bob was born on November 9, 1928, to Prosper and Adele (Van Loo) Orde in the Town of Humboldt in Brown County. On June 27, 1953, he married Bernadine Schallie at the Algoma Methodist Church. He worked at the Algoma Plywood for 20 years, then owned and operated a motel in Appleton for two years. He was a custodian at the Howards Grove School District for six years and the Sheboygan Falls School District for 15 years, retiring in 1989. Bob was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Plymouth.

In his early years, he was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed woodworking, playing dominos, riding his Harley and bicycle, watching football, and spending time with his many dogs over the years.

Bob is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bern; son Jeffrey (Cindy); step-grandchildren, Mike Van Maastricht and Shelly (Ron) Reese; five step-great grandchildren, Cheyanne and Briten Kujawski, Hunter, Chase and Hoyt Van Maastricht; one step-great-great-granddaughter, Genevieve; and three sisters-in-law, Marion and Shirley Orde and Beverly Blahnik.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

A Funeral Service for Bob will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2023, Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd in Howards Grove. Family will greet visitors on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Bob will be laid to rest at Immanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery. Due to allergies, the family asks that visitors refrain from using perfume.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob’s name can be sent to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the excellent care given to Bob.
