WILLIAMSPORT - Robert Carl Overmoyer, II, 68, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 in the Emergency Room of UPMC Williamsport.
He was married on March 11, 1979 to the late Linda Lee (Neidrich) Overmoyer, who had passed away June 16, 2022.
Robert was born on April 27, 1956 in Erie and was the son of the late Robert Carl and Mary (Mowrey) Overmoyer. He had graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie. He had worked at North Central Sight Services for over 20 years and then retired. Robert had attended Trinity Gospel Church. He was a God-fearing Christian man who enjoyed talking about God, his faith and the bible. He enjoyed long walks around town with his dog Butch.
Robert is survived by one son; Robert C. Overmoyer, III (Patricia) of South Carolina, three daughters; Lisa G. Hammond (Wally) of Williamsport, Julie M. Otten (Paul) of Beaver Creek, Ohio and Sharon T. Reherman of Cincinnati, Ohio, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother; James B. Overmoyer of Rincon, Georgia and four sisters; Freda Margaret of Summerville, South Carolina, Rebecca Wise (Mark) of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Donna Freshour (Rob) of Brighton, Michigan and Bernice Richter (Dave) of Rincon, Georgia. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother; Jeffery Overmoyer.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 in Wildwood Cemetery with Pastor Joel E. Henderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Gospel Church, 1010 Elmira St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Arrangements are being handled by Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport.
