Robert Lee Owen Sr., age 76, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 14, 1949 in Del Rio, Texas. He was a lovely husband and a loving father to his children. He was very consistent with his projects and someone you can count on no matter the situation as people would say a true friend. He was a life teacher, and his assertive nature came from a place of deep-seated knowledge and experience. He was one of a kind with a crazy humor, loved to travel and see the world with his family and friends. We were all great full to have you in our life's. You will be missed. Preceding him in death were his parents, Florence Lillian Owen and Richard Louis Owen Jr. Family members left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 28 years, Maria del Pilar Owen of Del Rio; children: Robert Lee Owen Jr. and wife Jacqueline Owen of Del Rio; Stacy Lee Faivre and husband Steve Faivre of Dallas, TX, and Stephanie Ocampo and husband Abel Ocampo of Dallas; siblings: Richard Louis Owen III and wife Sylvia Owen of San Antonio, Tx, and Patricia Smith and husband Steve Smith of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren: Madeleine Faivre, Matthieu Faivre, Abel Ocampo Jr., and Sammy Ocampo, nephew/nieces: Brooke Owen-Lopez, Tricia Smith, and Travis Smith Jr.; Robert Lee Owen Sr. is also survived by other close relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith. A Chapel Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
