Robert D. Patterson Sr. 94, of Troy, IL, born Tuesday June 17, 1930 in Granite City, IL and passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at his home in Troy, IL.
Robert served his country in the United States Marine Corp.during the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles, and tinkering on small engines. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (nee Hochuli) Patterson; his daughter, Charlotte Patterson; his parents, George Dewey Sr. and Clara L. (nee Line) Patterson; brothers, George D. Jr and Ed Patterson; sisters, Darlene Patterson and Shirley Scroggins.
Surviving are his children, Linda Patterson of Edwardsville, IL, Cynthia Patterson of Troy, IL, Robert (Diana) Patterson Jr. of Marine, IL, Diane (Rick) Keller of Troy, IL and Frederick (Stacey) Patterson of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Breann Kinkel, Jamie Furfaro, Vincent Furfaro, Lucas Furfaro, Cherish Patterson, Derrick Dublo, Shane Dublo, Robert (Vickie) Patterson III, Timothy (Katelyn Gray) Patterson, Daniel Patterson, Kenneth (Amy) Patterson, Karina Keller, Kendrick Keller, Alyssa Hoguet and Braden Patterson; great-grandchildren, Derrick Dublo, Grayson Hoguet, Wade, Jerzie and Raegan Furfaro, Robert IV, Ashley, Tyler, Amelia, Eliza, Timothy Jr. and Kinsleigh Patterson, Clay Pritchett, Cody and Leah Patterson, Madolyn and Trevour East, Lain and Everly Patterson, Adelyn Kinkel and Emery Smith, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Private graveside services will be held at Friedens UCC Cemetery in Blackjack, IL at a later determined date.
