Robert Pauls Obituary
February 16, 1952 - January 7, 2026
Robert Stephen Pauls, Jr., 73, passed away after a battle with cancer. Born in New York to the late Robert and Mildred Pauls Sr., he spent most of his life in Egg Harbor Township, N.J. Robert graduated from Oakcrest High School and attended Atlantic Cape Community College. He worked for Tony Canale Excavating Company from 1972 to 1991 and later served as superintendent for CTX Infrastructure LLC. Robert was a gifted artist whose political cartoons appeared in The Hammonton Gazette under the alias "Paoli." Deeply committed to his community, Robert coached Babe Ruth Baseball for eight years, volunteered with youth baseball programs, helped construct local fields and bike tracks, served as Chairman of the EHT Planning Board, and campaigned for Township Committee. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen; his siblings Lorraine Weber (Nelson), William Pauls (Ginny), Joe Pauls (Elaine), and Kathleen Walsh (Joseph); his son Tony Pauls (Melissa); stepsons Dawson Marshall (Anita) and Kirt Marshall; stepdaughter Jessica DeNicola (Mark); grandchildren Anthony and Ashlin Pauls; and step-granddaughters Alyssa, Arielle, and Ava Mae DeNicola. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Stephen Pauls III.
A viewing will be held at Boakes Funeral Home Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 11 am to 1 pm with a service and reflections from 1 to 2 pm. Burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing. Info and condolences: www.boakesfuneralhome.com
