Robert Leon Peaster, Jr., 72 of Dewey, OK, passed away early Thanksgiving morning at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Bobby was born September 10, 1952, at Bartlesville Memorial Hospital to Robert L. Peaster, Sr. and Imogene (Detter) Peaster. He was a 1971 graduate of Dewey High School. After high school, Bobby was a roughneck on a pulling unit. He did a short stint in the U.S. Navy, as well as holding several other jobs before attending technical training in Dallas, Texas. Upon graduating from Dallas, Bobby began a career with Oklahoma Natural Gas, first as a computer operator and later retiring as a programmer, after 25 plus years with ONG. He attended Town & Country (now Pathways) Christian Church.
Bobby married Jeanece Hull at Bartlesville, and the couple built a home in Stillwater, Oklahoma before moving back to Dewey. He was an avid OU football fan and loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanece Peaster of Jenks, Oklahoma; his parents, Bob and Imogene Peaster of Dewey; two stepsons, Bryan Larison and wife, Angie of Stillwater and J.P. Larison of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Larry Gene Peaster and wife, Melba of Catoosa, Oklahoma and Gary Lynn Peaster of Dewey; five grandchildren; several aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends. Bobby was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray Peaster in September of 2020.
A memorial service will be held 2pm, Friday, December 13, 2024, at Town & Country Christian Church with Pastor Lanny Smith officiating. To send an online condolence, visit www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
