Robert Oran "Bob" Jacobs

Robert "Bob" Oran Jacobs, 87, of Caney, KS, passed peacefully at home on October 13, 2025.

Robert was born in Dawson, OK, on October 10, 1938, to Richard Leon and Norma Lee (Vore) Jacobs. He joined the United States Army in 1961 and proudly served until 1963. The proud owner of Bob Jacobs Electric, he was an electrician for 60 years. He enjoyed working, fishing, camping, hunting, playing pool and shuffleboard and spending time with friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Leon and Norma Lee (Vore) Jacobs; his sister, Patricia Jacobs; and the mothers of his children, Ms. Phyllis Sue Jacobs and Ms. Donna Faye Jacobs.

He is survived by his children, Charles Jacobs and Amy Renee Jacobs of Mustang, OK; Micheal Eccles and Alicia Rouse of Knoxville, TN; Shelley Brinkman and Mike Brinkman of Bartlesville, OK, Vicki Jacobs of Dewey, OK, Donna Bauman and Ed Bauman of Dewey, OK and Kimberlee Jacobs and Howard Hampton of Dewey, OK. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild, who all loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 113 S. Osage Ave., Dewey, OK 74029.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 20th, also at Davis Family Funeral Home in Dewey, OK. The family asks for privacy at the private graveside service at the Dewey Cemetery to honor their father and grandfather with a military service. Please respect the family's wishes for privacy. Pallbearers will include Charles Jacobs, Chris Eccles, Mike Eccles, Matt Bauman, Eric Bauman and Landon Weber. Honorary pallbearers are Kovy Haughn and Joseph Jacobs.
