Sharon Callahan Obituary

Sharon Kay Callahan, 83, of Bartlesville, was called home on Saturday, September 27, 2025, by her Lord and Savior. Sharon was born the daughter of Pirdon Henry and Irene La Faye (Cotts) Ellington on November 28, 1941, at home in Dewey. She was raised in Dewey, graduating from Dewey High School in 1960. Sharon had fond memories of growing up with her siblings and the nearby Reese and Johnson children. A strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from a young age instilled a firm foundation of faith that carried her through her entire life. She was raised in the Dewey Nazarene Church and over the years she formed lasting friendships with church and work friends she treasured and enjoyed. Donna remembers mom to be loving, caring and hardworking. Sharon was a single mom who not only raised Donna but took care of the yard and even changed her own oil in the car. For many years Sharon worked at Applied Automation where she was a lead assembler building circuit boards and training newer employees. Applied Automation is where she met Drew, a coworker, and they were married on May 15, 1992. Together they enjoyed traveling for fun and sometimes for Drew's work to neighboring states. After 29 years of loving marriage Drew preceded her in death on June 17, 2021. Sharon enjoyed working her crossword and jigsaw puzzles, working out at the hospital gym and visiting with friends wherever she saw them. At home she enjoyed feeding the birds and watching for critters in her backyard. She was always excited to see her Fox and special Turtle make an appearance. Occasionally she would travel to Florida to spend time with her daughter's family and enjoyed attending their church. Most of all Sharon loved the Lord. She was a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School volunteer and was active in the ministries of her church. Anytime you saw Sharon, you first saw her smile and you felt loved. She was always so happy to see her friends. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Donna (John) Baker; granddaughter, Teri Rae Baker; Drew's children, Beth (Jeff) Callahan – Brown, Scott Callahan and Jami (John) Brill. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Wayne Gray; and husband, Drew. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd from 10-8 at the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 3rd at the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at
