Robert Peckler Obituary
A private graveside service will be held August 3, 2024, with burial to follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Born December 19, 1946, in Hastings, Nebraska, Bob was the son of Lester and Elizabeth Peckler. He graduated from Ankeny High School in 1965 and attended Doane College in Nebraska. Bob was the father to three daughters: Heidi, Mindy, and Amy. He worked for John Deere for 34 years before retiring.
Bob married Cheryl Jackson on June 30, 1991, and lived in Des Moines until his retirement and then moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas. Bob thoroughly enjoyed his retirement and spent his days golfing with friends, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Heidi (Tim) Stolp, Melinda (Lance) LeFurge both of Ankeny; brother, Michael Peckler of Cedar Rapids; sister, Barbara (Robert) Lopez of Vacaville, CA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with two more due in the fall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Elizabeth Peckler; daughter, Amy Hohenshell; and brothers, Lester "Chips" and Douglas Peckler.
Bob will be remembered for his kindness, love of family, and his huge personality. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Cheryl and family - Bill and I were sad to hear about Bob. Both of us remember having good times with him. He was fun and we had many laughs. Bob had also been Bill's supervisor at John Deere, too, when Bill worked on the cotton line. We hope your memories give you comfort. Rest in peace, Bob.

Bob was a classmate in the Class of 65. When we walked into graduation ceremonies and also baccalaureate services, because we were each the tallest of the guys & gals. We both also worked at Deere together for 35 years!
