Robert Boon Peek III, age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Houston, Texas. A man of intellect and compassion, Robert devoted his life to his family, his profession, and his passions.
Life and Legacy
Born in Dallas, Texas, to Robert Boon Peek Jr. and Vera Ruth (Carter) Peek, Robert grew up with a keen interest in the world around him. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, a foundation that served him well throughout his career. Robert eventually found his calling in social work, where he dedicated his professional life to supporting others in need.
On January 15, 1999, Robert married the love of his life, Ock Bin Chang, in Jacksboro, Texas. Together, they shared 27 years of marriage characterized by a mutual love for travel and adventure. Robert was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association of America and cherished every moment spent with his extended family.
Family
Robert was preceded in death by his parents. His memory will be kept alive by those who survive him:
- His beloved wife: Ock Bin Chang
- His sister: Netty Glidewell
- Extended Family: A host of friends and relatives who will miss his presence dearly.

- Interment: Burial will follow the service at Lynn Creek.
