Robert Patrick (Pat) Perkins, 74, of Charlotte N.C. passed away June 7, 2022. Pat was born in Montevista, Colorado on December 3, 1947. He was preceded in death by Robert Patrick Kearney, and Carl (Tug) and Betty Perkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Wendy (Wohler) Perkins, his daughter, Meghan Elizabeth Tomberlin (Ryan) and two precious grandchildren Reid and Avery. Pat is also survived by his two brothers, James David Perkins of Antioch, IL and Clarence Michael Perkins (Patricia) of Blaine, Minnesota.
After graduating from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio, Pat attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He began his career at Ashland Chemical Company in Columbus, Ohio in Sales and went on to be a District and Regional Manager. In 1986, he founded The Perkins Group, an Executive Search Firm, where he worked until he retired in August 2021.
Pat adored his wife and referred to her as "Wonderful Wendy". He was proud of her excellence in teaching and her dedication to her many passions. They had a love for boating and traveling together. Another pride and joy was his daughter, Meghan. He was always involved in her life, gave her support, love and encouraged her in everything she did. Pat enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching football, discussing current events, and most of all spending time with his family boating on Lake Norman. He treasured by all his friends and has many fond memories with his Sigma Chi fraternity brothers. He was always the life of the party and a friend for life.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
