Robert Walter "Bob" Peters

Robert Walter Peters, 86, of Corry, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on October 7, 1939, in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Lawrence and Ethel (Rehs) Peters.
Bob was raised and educated in Cleveland and at the age of 12 moved to Spartansburg. In 1957, he enlisted into the US Army. Upon his honorable discharge, Bob moved to Union City. He worked for MFG, Cherry Hill and Standard Chair Company. He then moved to Buffalo, NY and worked as a machinist for several years before returning to Union City. Bob worked for Harned's as a TV Repairman and then owned B&L TV Repair and Furniture in Corry and Union City. Bob then worked for Chase MFG as a machinist for 6 years before he moved to Florida. While in Florida, he worked for Walmart and an RV Sales Company and retired in 2010 and returned to Corry.
He was a member of the Elmer C. Carrier American Legion Post 365, VFW Post 264, Corry Moose Lodge #98 and the Corry Central Labor Club. Bob was an avid skeet shooter, and was a member of the Corry, Union City, Big Tree, Jamestown, Meadville, Sandy Lake and Spartansburg Rod and Gun Clubs. He enjoyed hunting and working with his hands.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Forringer and four brothers, James, George, Lawrence and Louis Peters.
Bob is survived by his companion in life, Donna Stockton of Corry, PA; three daughters, Darlene Fisher of Corry, PA, Cindy Weed of Corry, PA and Kimberly Peters Foley of Lake City, PA; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407 on Monday, January 12th from 11 am until the time of the service there at 1 pm. Pastor Les Utegg will officiate.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg, PA.
