Robert "Bob" Pivoroff Sr., 75, passed away on July 21, 2025, at the SE Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center in Keokuk, IA. Born on October 12, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son to the late Paul and Helen (Fogiel) Pivoroff.
Bob served in the US Army from 1969 to 1970, stationed at Ft Bragg, NC. His career spanned various roles; he worked in a newspaper, a furniture store, and later with his father at Sterling Dye in the boiler room.
He spent time in Augusta, Maine, where he lived for 17 years, and then he moved to the Midwest in 2018 to be closer to his son and grandson.
Known for his kindness and generous spirit, Bob had a strong faith in God. He loved fishing, coin collecting, and spending time with his friends Steve, Charlie, and Ray. A devoted father, he enjoyed taking his son, Robert Jr., to various activities including baseball games and fishing trips.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert (Bob) Pivoroff Jr., and grandson, Lukas Tharen Pivoroff, both of Quincy, IL; siblings Carl Pivoroff of Philadelphia, PA; Gloria Watson (Larry) of Lebanon, PA; Paula Elliss (Osceola) of Jacksonville, NC; and Christine Bird (Steve) of Jacksonville, NC. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorial services was held from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Bethel Assembly of God church, 829 S. 12th St, Quincy, IL, followed by a gathering of family and friends.
