Robert Paul Plimley

Robert Paul Plimley passed away in Santa Rosa, California on October 15, 2022. Bob was born on January 25, 1942, to Alfred and Dorothy Plimley in San Francisco and was raised in San Mateo, California.
After graduating from Serra High School in San Mateo, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served with distinction at remote radar stations of the Early Warning System (SAGE). His Air Force honors traveled with him, from Unalakleet, Alaska to Mt. Lemmon, Arizona and Pt. Arena, California (where, off duty, Bob was the projectionist at the Pt. Arena movie house).
Following his eight-year Air Force service, Bob attended the College of San Mateo and Chico State University. He worked in photo processing and later was proud of his career as a baker at Costco, Rohnert Park.
In retirement, Bob and his partner Dennis, traveled the world, from Europe to Australia. Bob was a talented photographer, gardener, craftsman, and vintage aircraft enthusiast. He rode in many restored Air Force aircraft. Bob and Dennis were enthusiastic cat owners through the years and Bob also volunteered, for many years, at a local cat adoption shelter.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, beloved aunts and uncles, his partner, Dennis, and his dear nephew Johnny. He is survived by his sisters Joan (Bart) and Janet (Jim) and brothers Gary (Emma) and Mark (Marie-Lou) and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 19 at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa. Interment to follow at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Avenue.
