Robert R. Politte

Robert R. Politte, affectionately known as Bob, was born on October 2, 1935, in Cadet, Missouri. He passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Bob was one of ten children born to the late Joseph Politte and Lilliam (Rulo) Politte. He was devoted to his family and carried forth the values instilled in him by his parents throughout his life. He is survived by four siblings: Joann Skaggs, Bill Politte (wife, Wanda), Peggy Adams (husband, Gary), and Mike Politte (wife, Connie). Additionally, he leaves behind his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Debbie Adams, along with numerous special nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Politte, and his cherished daughter, Cindy Politte; five siblings: Rachel Shepard, Ronda Adams, Norma Hedrick, Laverta "Bert" Stringer, and Leroy Politte; and his in-laws: Lloyd Shepard, Johnny Hedrick, Pat Politte, Herbert "Grassy" Stringer, Leon Skaggs, Leonard Laws, John Laws, Bernice Knight, and Larry Laws.

Bob was a man of integrity who loved the Lord. He loved his wife and daughter and was their caregiver for many years until they both passed. Cindy was his pride and joy and he took impeccable care of her until she passed at 65 years of age. Cindy had Down Syndrome and many days were challenging, but Bob never complained. You could always see the love in his eyes for his little girl. He was a kind and generous man. Many benefited from this and if at all possible, he didn’t want people to know that he was the giver of gifts.

He was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Bob loved going to his camper at the river, sitting on the porch, watching and feeding the birds, squirrels, rabbits and deer. On nice days, Bob enjoyed relaxing the porch watching everyone go by. Bob would always greet those driving by with a wave. Bob will be missed by many. However, we know that when he closed his eyes on this earth, he opened them in eternity and was reunited with his loved ones and Cindy, who he has missed since the day she passed. 

The visitation for Bob will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. This will be followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. Pastor Matt Woods will be officiating. Interment will be held at Adams Cemetery, Frankclay, Missouri. 

As we remember Bob, we celebrate the life he lived, the family he cherished, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. His memory will remain alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
