Robert M. Preimesberger "Bob"
Age 82 passed away Monday May 26, 2025, at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. A resident of Plainfield for the past 20 years, formerly Burbank. Bob is a proud US Navy Veteran, during the Vietnam era, he was a crew member deployed on the Navy destroyer USS Waller from 1962 to 1966. He retired from AT&T in 2001 after 32 years of service. In retirement Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, all of whom graduated from Reavis High School, Bob was in the class of 1961, he and his family alumni are all avid supporters, Bob and Susan were "Super Fans" he also loved fishing, he and his family vacationed in the UP of Michigan for many years. Survived by his loving wife Susan Preimesberger; children Mickey (Michelle) Preimesberger, Carrie (Don) Erickson, and Erich (Barbara) Preimesberger; sister Cora (the late Walter) Smith; grandchildren Kristopher (Shannon) Mabrito, Katie (fiancée Tyler Wisz) Mabrito, Emma Erickson, Aaron Preimesberger, Sam Erickson, and Andrew Preimesberger; great grandchildren Emily Mabrito, Brooklyn Mabrito, and Oliver Wisz, also numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Addie Preimesberger. Visitation Sunday June 1, 2025, from 3pm to 7pm with a celebration of his life to begin 6pm at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W. Renwick Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544. Services conclude at the funeral home, cremation rites to be accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children (www.shrinerschildrens.org) appreciated.
