Robert Henry "Shorty" Puckett

Robert Henry "Shorty" Puckett, age 80, of Bethlehem, GA passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Cora McDougald Puckett; sister, Evelyn Stonecypher; and brothers, Harold, Jerry, and Lewis Puckett.

Mr. Puckett is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Diane Grissom Puckett; son, Robert Nolan Puckett (Amy Hale and Rhett Aultman); daughter, Ruby Melissa and John Ward; sisters-in-law, Jane and Joey Martin, Patricia and Danny Weathers, Sandra and Harland Taylor; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Puckett was born on December 16, 1945 in Flowery Branch, GA and graduated in 1964 from South Hall High School. He was a retired truck driver with Hills Pet Products, and he had also driven a dump truck for G P Enterprises in Hoschton, GA. In addition to driving trucks, Mr. Puckett was also a retired school bus driver for both Gwinnett and Barrow County School Systems. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Buford, Ga and he enjoyed camping, and he loved his little dog JoJo.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA. He will Lie in State beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in the Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford.
