Robert Rathe Obituary

Robert is survived by his sons, James Rathe of Nason, Illinois, John Rathe of Waltonville, Illinois, and Chuck Rathe and wife, Mary Ann of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; grandchildren, Josh Ashley-Rathe and girlfriend, Caroline, Jessica Moore and husband, Brennen, Katelyn Fisher and husband, Dale, Brandon Rathe and wife, Sondra, Brittani Rathe and boyfriend, Levi; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Crystal Rathe; and siblings, Doug Rathe, Allan Rathe, and Marge Henderson.
Robert attended SIU-C and the University of Illinois, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Agriculture Science. He taught high school agriculture in Cumberland County, Illinois and Waltonville. Robert and his wife, Harriet enjoyed a long marriage of over 50 years. He will be missed by those who loved and cared for him.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville with Reverend Mark Wells officiating. Inurnment will follow. Memorials may be made in Robert's honor to Waltonville Free Will Baptist Church.
