Ravan Jr.; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis Ravan and Michael Ravan.
A proud graduate of Roebuck High School, Robert served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked at Kohler in Spartanburg for 20 years before retiring from the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier, a job he truly loved.
Known for his warm personality, Robert loved people and enjoyed making others smile. He was always a gentleman and had a passion for dance. He often asked ladies to dance whenever he saw them sitting, which is how he met his wife.
Robert was a joyful soul, a big jokester, and a fun presence to be around. Despite health challenges, he faced life with laughter and humor, cherishing every moment. His positive attitude and cheerful spirit touched many lives.
He had a deep love for antiques, especially collecting Jewel T Dinnerware and turtles. Whenever he traveled, he would always explore antique shops, adding special pieces to his collection.
Robert was passionate about dancing, especially the Shag, which was his first love. He was a member of the Upstate Shag Club and the Country Time Line Dance Company, participating enthusiastically in events and performances, including visits to nursing homes.
A special note of love and gratitude goes to his Houston family, whose support and friendship meant so much to him.
His favorite saying was: *"If you see anyone I know, tell them I said hello."*
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for life, dance, antiques, and bringing joy to others will remain in our hearts forever.
