John was born on July 15, 1950 to Robert Ravan and Elizabeth (Betty) Sizemore in Dahlonega, GA. He was predeceased in death by his Mom and Dad, Bill and Betty Russell, father Robert Ravan, sister Karen Torpy and uncle Bobby Sizemore.
John lived a life filled with joy, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family. He cherished every moment spent, whether fishing, hunting or simply sitting in his chair watching a race. His love for the natural world was surpassed only by the love for his family, who were his pride and joy.
John was known for his kind heart, quiet strength, stubbornness, and the way he would leave a party early. He was a patient man passing down his knowledge of the land and life to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren creating memories that will last forever.
John owned his own plumbing business, working alongside and taking turns driving with his best friend Hippie for over fifty (50) years.
John is survived by his brother Dan Ravan, children Mike(Jennifer), Todd(Cheron), Dawn(Chris), Trad(Erica), Brandon(Addison) and Kaitlin(Josh), his grandchildren Rhyan(Cody), Colby(Makayla), Bryanne(Peyton), Mariah, Austin, Reid, Faith, Hunter, Cayden, Landon, Alani, Ella, Peyton, Joshua, Waylon and Sawyer and great grandchildren Christopher, Ravan, Avery, Bryton, Branson, Brantley, Baylor, Brooklyn and Liam.
A public visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2024, at 11:00 am at Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Highway St. Augustine, FL 32084, with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow at The Tringali Barn, 7310 US1 South St. Augustine, FL 32086. A private burial is scheduled for his family in Daytona Beach, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Augustine Youth Services, 201 Simone Way St. Augustine, FL 32086.

So sorry for your loss, John was a special man, kind and generous. I´ve known John for 22 years and has always been our go to Plumber. He was special and enjoyed organizing the fishing tournament supporting St Augustine youth
