Melissa Sweeny Obituary
Melissa was a proud and loving mother to her children, Summar Noelle Powell (Jason) and Catherine Rhiannon Powell; with her life partner Joseph Powell. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she dedicated herself to creating memories with them.
Melissa was a true care giver and had a passion for taking care of others. She worked in the medical field most of her adult life.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Bradd Sweeny (10/2022), brother Sean Sweeny (9/2025) and is survived by her daughters Summar Noelle and Catherine Rhiannon Powell, mother Catherine Sweeny, and her stepfather, Tony Musick. She will also be deeply missed by her siblings: Christina Sweeny (twin), and Summar Tompkins (husband Ross). Melissa was cherished by many nieces and nephews, and her cousins and friends will carry her memory in their hearts.
Her legacy lives on in the love she shared and the lives she touched. Melissa's memory will forever be held close by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
May Melissa rest in peace, knowing she was loved deeply and will be missed by all.
