Joseph Palmieri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Craig Funeral Home on Feb. 24, 2026.
Joseph Philip Palmieri, 84, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away February 15, 2026.

Born May 3, 1941 in The Bronx, New York, Joe lived a life marked by warmth, humor

and, above all, love.

Joe is survived by Anna, the greatest love of his life and wife of over 60 years, his three

daughters and sons-in-law, each married over 30 years: Ann Denise & John, Christine &

Bill, and Marnie & Len, his five grandchildren: Roger, Leanna, Annalisa, Sophia and

Valentina, and his sister Linda. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank &

Concetta, and sisters Marie and Dolores.

Joe proudly served in The Army National Guard and worked as an "Ad Man" in the

1960s. He then managed the largest dry-cleaning plant in New York City until the mid-

1980s.

He has had many traveling adventures throughout our great nation and internationally.

He enjoyed following space travel and technology, all sports (especially the N.Y. Mets

and the Kentucky Derby), debating politics, playing games and winning poker. He loved

music and sang Doo Wop with cousins and childhood friends and performed on The

Apollo Theater stage.

Whether you called him Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Godfather, Papa, The Great and

Wonderful Uncle Joe or Friend, please know you have all contributed to the immense

joy and love he held in his heart for each and every one of you. Thank you.
