Robert John "Bobby" Rebeterano Sr., 65, of Arkansas City passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may greet the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the Celebration of Life.
Robert was born January 21, 1959, to Eloy Lloyd and Marie Ruth (Garcia) Rebeterano in Greeley, Colorado. He grew up and attended schools in LaSalle and Greely, Colorado. Growing up, Robert worked in the cucumber fields, Balcombs Chemical Plant, A&D Milling, and Struthers.
On December 19, 1980, Robert married Dana Littou in Arkansas City where the couple made their home. Robert worked for Rodeo Meats for many years until it's closing. He then went to work for Smithfield Foods as a forklift operator and remained a faithful employee for 34 years.
Robert was an avid football fan and faithfully supported the Las Vegas Raiders. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing Keno with his friends, and held a special place in his heart for his rescue cat, Peggy. Most of all, Robert cherished his family and friends dearly. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Dana Rebeterano of the home; two sons Robert Jr., and Joshua Rebeterano all of Arkansas City, KS; daughter Maria Loux and husband Jessey of Arkansas City, KS; his mother Ruth Rebeterano, brother Frank Rebeterano, sisters Jennie Medaleno and husband Ray, Cha-Cha Rebeterano-Santes, Mary Rebeterano, Sarah Romero all of Colorado, three grandchildren Noah, Sophia, and Jacoby, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, two brother Alex and Eloy, sister Lonnie Mendalano, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family asks that donations be made in Robert's name to the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
