Robert "Bob" Renda, 79, of Marco Island, Florida, passed away on Saturday, July 5th, 2025. He was born on July 15, 1945, to Irene (King) and Salvatore Renda. Bob was raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts and was a graduate from Chelsea High School, where he was voted "Best Looking". He was a football star and held state records in track and broad jump. Bob went on to attend college at Kansas University, where he ran track and played football before he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He proudly defended his country, completing two tours in Vietnam. Bob married the love of his life, Bonnie (Solomon) of Revere, Ma on July 22, 1977. The couple had a son Ted and raised their family in Revere. Bob spent his career working as a carpenter for the local 218 and as a court officer for Lynn District Court. Bob was a wonderful husband and great dad. He spent many years coaching baseball, football, and was active in the community. He was known to be stubborn as a mule, strong as an ox, and a person that anyone would want on their side. Bob enjoyed going to the beach with his family and building sandcastles with Ted as a child. He loved visits from his grandkids and had a soft spot for dogs. Bob loved telling stories, eating Italian food and always enjoyed watching his Boston sports teams. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Bonnie Renda; his son, Ted Renda and his wife Stephanie Wilson Renda, of Windham, NH; his grandchildren, Ivy and Sayge; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Dolores Renda Pagliarulo, Thomas Renda, and Linda Renda Kezar. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 15, from 5 to 8pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH. Interment with Marine Honors will take place on Wednesday morning, at 11:30am, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. The procession will meet at the Carrier Family Funeral Home and will leave for the cemetery at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to K9s for Warriors & The American Diabetes Association.
