Obituary of Robert Rettberg
Robert Rettberg 68, of Beacon NY passed away at his home, with his loving Sister and friends by his side. He was born September 7, 1955 in Brooklyn NY to Joseph and Betty Rettberg, who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his brother Douglas Rettberg. Robert graduated from Arlington High School in 1974, He then served in US Navy and was proud of his service. He went on to become a butcher for Stop and Shop and then Topps supermarket which he retired from in 2020. He had a great passion for golf, Travel, and visiting casinos. He especially enjoyed being a part of the Arlington Bar and Grill golf league. Robert is survived by his sister Joann Groth of Stanfordville NY, his nephew Brandon Smith of Beacon NY, his niece Lindsay Brown and husband Collin of Germantown NY, Two great nephews Justin and Jayden Smith of Beacon NY, and his Stepmother Dottie Rettberg of Poughkeepsie NY. Visitation to celebrate and honor Robert's life will be held April 13, 2024, from 12 to 2:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home located at 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie NY. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation.
