Robert Paul Reust

Robert "Bob" Reust, age 65, passed away on November 14, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Bob was born on October 12, 1960, in Lansing, Michigan to John and Josephine (Meyers) Reust.
For over three decades Bob worked for the family business, Culligan Water Conditioning of DeWitt, before joining Mid-States Bolt and Screw Co., where he spent the last 11 years as a merchandiser.
When Bob wasn't working, he poured his heart into the things he loved. Every weekend he made time for Scrabble with his wife, Karen – never missing their best-of-three games. He was a devoted sports fan and loved cheering on the Detroit Lions or MSU Spartans with friends and family. He also loved NASCAR and could always be found watching the race every Sunday throughout the season.
Bob enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was playing with his dogs or zooming across the yard on his snowmobile in the winter. Throughout the years he enjoyed visiting the family cabin, Green Timbers, a place especially close to his heart. His softer side shone through when he would sit and watch the birds. Even after a long day at work he would always make time for card and board games with his wife and daughters.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; his children Jordan and Amanda (Mallory) Reust; his father-in-law Donald Domagalski; sister-in-law Mary Jo (Bob) Stiles; brother-in-law Mike (Kellie) Domagalski; his siblings Doug (Tricia) Reust and Cathy Reust; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine; his siblings Dick, Tom and Anne; and his father's longtime companion, Arlene, who was like a second mother to him.
He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his spirit will remind us to cherish each moment and embrace life fully.
A Visitation will be held for Bob on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Palmer Bush and Jensen – Delta Chapel located at 6301 W. St. Joe Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 22, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 3022 W. St. Joseph St. Lansing, MI 48917.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Capital Area Humane Society.
