Robert Woodrow Rice Jr. age 83 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Friday August 15th, 2025 in Lawrenceville, GA
Known to all as Bobby, he is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow and mother Lucille Rice, sister Diane and brother in law Vernon Petttit, brother Charles Rice and 4 nephews, In laws Junior and Evelyn Davis, brother in law Donald Davis and brother in law Bobby Barnett, nephew Tim Barnett and great nephew Garrett Barnett.

He is survived and misssed by his loving wife of 48 years, Diana, forever cherished by his siblings and their families, sister Frances Martin (Ralph), brother Tommy Rice (Bonnie) and on his wife's side, sister in law Yvonne Barnett, sister in law Fran Schuland (Chris).

His memory lives on with his children, grand - children, great grand-children, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Bobby was born in Centerville, GA on September 23, 1941, to Woodrow and Lucille Rice. He grew up in and around Stone Mountain, GA. He graduated from Stone Mountain High School in 1960. He has lived in Lawrenceville, GA since 1984. His hobbies included fishing, working on cars and small engines, playing the banjo, woodworking, flying his drones and just being everyone's all around handyman.

Bobby also served in the Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer for 6 years.

Bobby has worked for 65 years as a machinist. His natural mechanical ability and work ethics served him well in the work force. He always made time to help others and his passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more lives were touched by him.

Funeral Services for Bobby will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday August 22, 2025 from the chapel of Byrd and Flanigan Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, GA with Pastor Joe Hughes Officiating.
