Robert Glenn Rodgers, born on December 21, 1966, in Jackson, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2026. He had a fulfilling career building scaffolding in the oil field until his health declined.
Robert was a family man at heart and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His personality shone brightly as he found joy in simple pleasures, often enjoying fishing, playing pool, and spending time with his nephew's horses. These hobbies brought him happiness and a sense of peace throughout his life.
Robert's love for his family included his devoted wife, Diane Renee Rodgers, his beloved mother, Vera Earlene Hopkins Rodgers, and his children: Dorothy Rodgers, Robyn Rodgers Day (Michael), LaVera Rodgers, Jennifer Flores (Fabion), and Jacqueline Yarborough. He was not only a father but also a proud grandfather to Frederick, Bella, Luke, Crystal, Eric, Ella, Leya, Bell Bell and Ethan. Robert is survived by his brothers Allen Rodgers, Wayne Rodgers, and Perry Rodgers, as well as his sister Ann Perito.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Allen Rodgers Sr., and his brother, Garry Dale Rodgers.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a 2:00 PM Celebration of Life at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes located at 1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042.
