Robert Lewis Ross, III, affectionately known as "Bear," was born on October 20, 1957, in Montezuma, Georgia, to Robert Ross, Jr. and Jurry Mae Ross. He grew up in a loving family and pursued his education in the Peach County School System, proudly graduating with the class of 1975.
Following his graduation, Robert enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country with honor. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Peach County, dedicating his professional life to the Peach County School System and later to Blue Bird Body Company, from which he eventually retired.
Robert found joy in simple pleasures, often spending his free time fishing and working on cars. He was known for his warm spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ross, Jr., and five siblings: Donella Ross, Ronald Ross, Stella Ross, James Ross and Tony Ross.
Robert leaves behind his loving mother, Jurry Mae Ross; his special nephew, Robert Ross; IV; his aunt, Savannah McKenzie; his uncle, Buck Mitchell; and his devoted cousin, Larry Lindsey. He is also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, and many sorrowing friends who will cherish his memory.
Robert's life touched many, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
