Robert Rothermel Obituary
Robert “Bob” A. Rothermel, 80, of Carlisle, died Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Allen and Grace (Shroyer) Rothermel.
Bob enjoyed gardening and woodworking and was called a “word nerd” by his children for the fact he was always doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble.
He was also an avid reader, especially American History.
Bob is survived by his sons: Jacob A. (Stefani) Rothermel, of Lansdale, Samuel W. (Erin) Rothermel, of Bainbridge; his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Elliot, Xavier, Parker, and Juniper Rothermel as well as his siblings: John and Linda.
He was preceded in death by his sister Ann.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2026 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, followed by his graveside service at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to: Craighead House, P.O. Box 335, Boiling Springs, PA 17007.
