Robert Royley Obituary

Robert Royley, Jr.

LINCOLN - Robert Royley, Jr., 94, of Lincoln, died Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Jane (Dougan) Royley.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Robert and Mary I. (Latimer) Royley, he had resided in Lincoln for over seventy years.

Mr. Royley worked for Amica Mutual Insurance Co. before retiring in 1994. After retirement he worked part time as a shuttle bus driver, for Pre-Flight Airport parking in Warwick. He was a member of Mount Moriah Lodge #8, F&AM, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Providence. Bob had a great passion for Cars and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and WWE wrestling. He loved helping family, friends and neighbors thru out the years no matter what was needed. He was always there, a ride to the doctors, dentist, airport, letting the neighborhood dogs out and loved being the neighborhood pool boy. He had the biggest heart and lived and loved life to the fullest with always a positive outlook. His favorite saying was "Everyday is a Bonus" He will be missed by all who loved him.

The late Jane Houle and Pat Hazebrouck. Her six grand children; his brother, Walter Royley; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Royley.

His family would like to thank the Lincoln Fire & Rescue, and the doctors and nurses at Miriam Hospital, Floor 3East for their wonderful care and also the nurses at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center and Nurse on Call who provided great home care.
