Robert A. Russell, 65, of Zanesville, died at 3:20 P.M. on Monday, September 22, 2025, at home. He was born March 22, 1960, in Zanesville, a son of the late Robert E. and Barbara E. (Waxler) Russell. Robert was a lively spirit and never knew a stranger, he was the first resident in the Muskingum Ark Housing Apartments for adults with disabilities and lived as an active member of this community for over 37 years. Robert was a loyal employee at Olive Garden for 29 years and when he wasn’t working you could find him participating in the Miracle League Baseball Team, Bowling with his friends, or cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Robert will be deeply missed by his community, family, and friends.
He is survived by his cousin, Barbara Rinkes; a sister, Rhonda (Tony) Landolfi of Palm Bay, FL; two nieces, Jennifer and Heather Nabb; and his grand-niece, Jayla; his longtime girlfriend, Pam Palmer; and several other cousins.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his niece, Amanda Nabb.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of service starting at 12:00 NOON on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Rev. Laureen Roe officiating. Robert will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
