Robert Rustay Sr Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 3, 2025.
Robert Allen Rustay, Sr, 65, of New Cumberland took his last ride on September 30th 2025. He was born on November 30th 1959 to the late Harold and Ethel (Stile) Rustay.

Bob was counting down the days to retirement where he could finally spend more time with his beloved wife, who he called his Queen, and his motorcycle which he affectionately nicknamed his "mistress". On weekends he could frequently be found in the garden, or out taking long rides with his wife. He loved spending time at the range with his sons and grandson exercising his right to bear arms, or enjoying a steak with an ice cold beer in his hand. He recently adopted a new puppy, Harley, who quickly stole his heart. He enjoyed playing fetch and spoiling her rotten with the best toys available. He loved America, cold beer, the New York Yankees, and the Beatles, but most of all he will be remembered for how much he loved his wife and his family. Everyone he met was a new friend. He had a giant heart, and a passion for what he believed in. He was never afraid to stand up for what he thought was right.

Bob's life of love and laughter will forever be cherished by his wife, Mary (Tyson) Bowers, his sons Bob Jr (Maria), Dan (Cheri) Rustay, and his step-sons Josh (Katie Baker) Bowers, and Kacey (Marisa) Bowers. He leaves behind his grandchildren Robert, Shaunna, Cali, Chase, Iver, Troy, Dash, and Camden. He is also survived by his sister Linda Unger, niece Tracy Unger-Gabor, and nephews Geoff Unger and Michael Serra.
