Robert Sanchez, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 23, 2025.
Robert Arenibas Sanchez, Jr., age 57, of Grove, OK, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2025 at his home with family at his side.

Robert was born February 11, 1968 in San Berdino, CA, and grew up in several locations as a child following his father's military career. He had attended high school in Jacksonville, NC. He moved to the Joplin area in 1988 and worked several jobs over the years including General Mills, and most recently he was working for Advanced Tree Service in Grove. He loved spending time in his garden, and was known for canning his own spicy salsa. He enjoyed fishing and cooking, but his biggest passion was spending time with his dogs, Leona, Apache, and Cherokee. He was also known to spend Sunday afternoons glued to the TV watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys dressed in his traditional attire. A die hard Dallas Cowboys fan through and through. He was very good at knowing how to make everyone in the room laugh. He was a true jokester and took every opportunity to be funny. He left us too soon, and will be missed by many.

Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Toni Perez.

Survivors include his wife, Brandi Pearce of the home; his children, Kyle Austin Daggett (Rizza), Zachary Ryan Matteson (Aerial Cowles), Audrea Marie "Audi" Sanchez, Robert A. Sanchez, III all of Joplin.

Grandchildren include Ava Daggett, Mya Daggett, Ryah Daggett, Ezquiel "Zeke" Daggett, and Aleyah Matteson all of Joplin.

His Father, Robert A. Sanchez, Sr. of Chino, CA and his mother, Linda Newton (Kenny) of Jacksonville, NC. His brothers, Nick Jose "Nicky" Sanchez of Chino, CA, David Delgado, Jr. of Jacksonville, NC; sister, Anna Perez of Jacksonville, NC; several nieces and nephews, and several other estranged family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 10th from 2pm-5pm at "The Main Event" event center located in Joplin, Mo.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
