Bob was a man's man, a gentle man, and a gentleman. A loving husband to Cindi, father to Matthew and Luke, proud grandpa to Gavin, and friend to many. He leaves a larger-than-life hole in the world of those who knew and loved him.

He was born in Nebraska on July 9, 1950, and passed away on July 25, 2025, with his family by his side, from complications caused by West Nile and the pneumonia that had taken over his body in May and wouldn't go away.

After working for the late Lee Mendel and Bob Allison, he joined the staff at CHFA in 1985, where he oversaw the Construction Services department for a time before assuming responsibility for managing the CHFA building and other CHFA-owned property. He retired in February 2023.

He served for 20 years on the Board of Commissioners of the Lakewood Housing Authority, where he contributed his expertise, knowledge, and wisdom to help it grow into the development agency it has become.

A dedicated hunter and outdoorsman, he enjoyed his time in the mountains as much as he loved Cindi, their boys, his family, Nebraska football, and chiles hot enough to start fires-but never hot enough for him.

As strong as his character was, his body wasn't, and the challenges he faced from various injuries and illnesses would have left most people bedridden.

Even at the end, when he was bedridden, those who called him would always hear, "How are you? How is your family?" and only learn about his condition by pushing aside his questions and asking how he was doing.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years; sons, Matthew and Luke; grandson, Gavin; sister, Sharon (Keith) Fleenor; brother, Jon Sandridge; and many uncles, cousins, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 2 PM on August 7, 2025, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 South Sheridan Blvd, Denver. Interment will be private in Nebraska.
