Dr. Robert "Bob" Lee Sandridge, 93, of Proctor, WV, died peacefully on Friday, November 14th, 2025 at The Kinsington Care Center in Aurora, OH. He was born June 12th, 1932, in Junior, WV, son of the late Howard and Ariel Sandridge. He graduated from West Liberty University with a Bachelor's degree and continued his education at West Virginia University, University of North Carolina, and Carnegie Mellon University
completing a Masters, Doctorate, and an MBA. After a short time in the Navy, he spent most of his career in the Research Department at Mobay
Chemical Company in New Martinsville where he and his wife, llene, raised their 5 children. He enjoyed trips on their sailboat and vacations with family. After retiring he and Ilene travelled around the world while he was an acting Committee Chairman for the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO). He became a great caregiver for his wife in the final years of her life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances "Ilene" Mahon Sandridge and his brother Charles "Bill" Sandridge. Robert is survived by his children; son, Michael (Mary Alice) Sandridge, of Grenada, daughter, Jennifer (Alex), Kilanski of Lancaster, VA, daughter, Becky (Herb) Rawlings of Pittsburgh, PA, son, Brian (Sheryl) Sandridge of Solon, OH and daughter, Susan (Marty) Siebken of Stuarts Draft, VA. He is also survived by his sister, Martha Ferkol, sister-in-law, Rosalea Cole, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be scheduled in the spring.
