Robert "Bob" Louis Sardo was born September 1, 1947, to the late Louis and Luigina (DeDominick) Sardo in Watkins Glen, NY. Bob grew up as a "Navy Brat" moving up and down the east coast with time spent in Key West, FL, Charleston SC, Hammond, IN and Groton, CT. Bob joined the Navy in 1964 and served as a Machinist Mate during the Vietnam War. Honorably discharged in 1970 he moved to Lakeland, FL where his parents had retired. He attended Polk Community College, and during that time, he enjoyed cave diving and autocross racing. He then moved to Pensacola, FL to attend the University of West Florida where he received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Bob moved to St. Louis, MO in 1974 where he began his career as a mechanical engineer. In 1977 he was living in Kansas City MO where he met and married Carman Jeanne Wyatt with her children Kim, Lisa, and James. In 1980 Bob, Jeanne and James moved to Lakeland, FL where Bob worked for IMC. After 11 years with IMC, he moved on to contract work specializing in vibration analysis. Bob retired in 2016 and moved to Valrico, FL. There he enjoyed traveling to watch SCCA auto racing, sailing, sailing instruction, Tampa Bay Lighting Hockey, and pickle ball. Bob was respected by all with whom he worked and loved by everyone for his easy smile and kind demeanor.
Survived by son, James Wyatt; daughters, Kimberly Wyatt & Lisa Brown; sister, Diana (Rusty) Springfield; brother, Richard (Brenda) Sardo; Grandchildren, Stephen Wyatt, Caylee Batchelor, and Lily Wyatt
