It will be 8 years very soon. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you and miss you. I pray for you every night. I will never forget my big brother and what a wonderful person you were. There’s a hole in my heart. I will see you again some day after this life.

Hello Betty,

I went to college with Bob and thought the world of him and his friends. I came by one time at your apartment and got to meet you, the girl of his dreams.
I was in a band called the Lemon Sandwich and Bob was giving me singing lessons.
I got in town and quickly came to your wedding, I had nothing to wear but a friends red jacket. (Check your wedding pictures .. that's me)
I met your lovely sister later that week.
Bob was a rock star and so is his family. He is in our heart for eternity.

With a heavy heart. Walt Hileman

Bobby was a terrific brother and friend. I have so many memories going back to our childhood together. I will miss him. I never thought he would be gone at such a young age. Our entire family mourns his passing. He was a center point in this family. He didnt ask for much from any of us and he was a gentle soul. We will see you again, our brother.

Dear Betty,
I'm not sure if you remember me. I have such wonderful memories of Bobby. He loved to sing and play in bands(The Merrymen)-remember then? He loved you at first sight; and told Frank Acacello "I'm going to marry that girl." I often wonder if they remained close friends.
Bobby had a big heart; and his smile would light up a room. I, and my husband, Ted, both send our sincere condolences to you and your family. We will be praying for you. Grieving is a hard and sad process. We are so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Ginny and Ted

Spent a lot of time at VCNJ both as a contract employee and for a while on staff. Everyone there played a big part in my life during those years. Bob Schaffner and I didn't always agree on every little thing, but overall I think we had a good working relationship and friendship too. RIP.
