Patricia Ida Walther Wagner (1934 - 2025)
Patricia Wagner of Bergenfield, New Jersey, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 91 after a brief illness. Affectionately known as “GG Pat” since the birth of her first great-grandchild, she was born in Union City, New Jersey, on January 13, 1934, to Frank Walther and May Hansen. Pat is survived by son Bob Singagliese (Jeanne); daughter Linda Singagliese (Katherine); daughter-in-law Kate Naso (Dominick); grandchildren Robert Singagliese (Jessica), James Singagliese (Lindsey), and Meghan Jones (Keith); great-grandchildren Will, Dorothy, Lily, and Blaise; and many loving extended family members. Pat was predeceased by her first husband Anthony Singagliese; son Steven Singagliese; grandson Brian Singagliese; her second husband John Wagner; and sister June Olsen.
Pat was a true renaissance woman, a person far ahead of her time. After losing her first husband, she courageously raised three children on her own, all while maintaining a full-time job and continuing her education. After retiring from the Bergenfield Board of Education, Pat volunteered for years with the Bergenfield Public Library and Holy Name Hospital. Pat had a passion for reading, traveling, cooking, hosting gatherings, sports, theater, cocktails, and playing games, especially cards and Scrabble. Pat loved talking with everyone, from a decades-long friend to the stranger she just met on a train or plane. Her love of life and learning continued into her 90s, leaving a legacy of joy and curiosity for three generations. As so many family members have said, “She was ever-present in our lives… throughout our entire life.”
Please join us in celebrating “GG Pat” on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM for a funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 29 N. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ 07621.
