Robert Schmeltz Obituary
Robert "Bob" James Schmeltz, Jr., age 86, of White Oak, PA, died on Friday, May 30, 2025. He was born in East McKeesport, PA on August 29, 1938, and was the son of the late Robert, Sr. and Wilda Crissman Schmeltz.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert “Bob” J. (Lisa) Schmeltz, III of White Oak, PA; Ryan J. (Vicki) Schmeltz of Elizabeth, PA; Randy J. (Danielle) Schmeltz of North Versailles, PA; Arthur “Arty” D. (the late Jennie) Schmeltz of Glassport, PA; daughters, Tracy Lauterback of Denver, CO; Cheryl Walsh of West Mifflin, PA; grandchildren, Jared Schmeltz; Brenden (Lexi) Schmeltz; Alaina Schmeltz; Beth Schmeltz; Raelyn Schmeltz; Autumn Anderson; Jace Lauterbach; Torri Lauterbach; Sami Walsh; Nathan Walsh; Wendy Walsh; sisters, Nancy (John) Tokarska of Augusta GA; Allie (Bill) Tyler of McKeesport, PA; brothers, Eric (Patricia) Schmeltz of McKeesport, PA; Andy (Jeanie) Schmeltz of Carson, VA; and sister-in-law, Mary Schmeltz of Jacobs Creek, PA.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Verner Schmeltz; and brothers, John; and Art Schmeltz.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Bob’s memory for a memorial service on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 641 Zimmer Hill Road, Greenock, PA 15047. A celebration of life will follow at 617 Ross Street Extension, Wall, PA 15148. Arrangements are being cared for by Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177).
