Robert Schram Obituary
August 12, 1943 - June 11, 2025
WEEDSPORT - Robert J. "Sox" Schram, 81 of Weedsport, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Auburn Community Hospital, following complications with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in Auburn, on August 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Harold and Mary Whitcomb Schram and was a graduate of Weedsport High School, Class of 1961. Robert was employed with the Weedsport Police Department in the late 1960's and as a mechanic at Bill's Esso Station. He later started employment as a Corrections Officer, and following the academy, he worked in Sing Sing then Attica, prior to retiring from Auburn Correctional Facility in 1998 after 32 years. An avid Yankee fan, Robert also enjoyed gardening and the occasional trip to the casino.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Wright Schram; daughter, Nicole Delano (Jason); and two grandchildren, Madelyn and Julianne Delano.
Private burial in Weedsport Rural Cemetery was held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport. To offer condolences, please visit whitechapelfh.com.

Sox certainly loved baseball and was part of many pick up games at the school field. One time I needed to tow a car from Niagara Falls to Weedsport. He didn´t hesitate to go with me to help. He was always an upbeat personality. My condolences to you and your family.

We are so sorry to hear of Sox's passing! Bob's mother was very good friends with my parents and we had a very long history dating back to when we were neighbors and played catch in my backyard. Taught me the finer points of baseball. Fellow Yankees fan!

Bob´s mom, Mary, was a friend of my mom & dad´s. "Soxy" always smiled & waved to me when he was driving around town in his fancy car. Later in life was my neighbor. Nice man...blessings & peace to the Schram family.
