Robert Schumm
Father, grandfather, equipment operator, mechanic, and mud racing enthusiast
Robert Schumm, a devoted father, proud grandfather, and lifelong equipment operator, passed away at the age of 62. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, horsepower, and unwavering love for his family.
Robert spent nearly his entire life working in the family business, operating heavy machinery with skill and pride. He was a natural mechanic-always fixing things, rebuilding engines, and finding joy in the challenge of making something run better than before.
His passion for speed and mud racing was more than a hobby-it was a way of life. Robert built and raced his own rigs, charging through the mud with grit and determination. Whether covered in grease or dirt, he was in his element, pushing limits and living full throttle.
He was the proud father of two sons: Cory Schumm, 37, and Dillon Schumm, 29. He was also a loving grandfather to Xzavier Schumm, age 6, who brought him endless joy and pride. To his family, Robert was more than a provider-he was a mentor, a protector, and a steady presence through every twist and turn.
Robert didn't seek recognition, but his impact was felt in every project completed, every race run, and every life he touched. His quiet humor, fierce loyalty, and mechanical genius will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
