Robert L. (Bob) Seago, 73, of Albany, GA passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Wellstar Hospice Care Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with graveside service immediately after. Pastor Don Williams and Pastor Glen Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Albany, GA.
Mr. Seago was born in Albany, GA and had been a lifelong resident. He was a police officer for the Albany Police Department for thirty-four years beginning in 1972 until his retirement in 2006. During his long career, he served as a patrolman and was one of the first patrolmen with the motorcycle division. He was also trained at the crime lab by the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA in latent finger print analysis. He also worked with the budgeting department. Robert was also a member of the Heritage Baptist Church.
Robert was preceded in death by wife Linda Seago, father, Buford W. Seago Sr, mother Lillian L (Thompson) Seago, brother Buford W. Seago, Jr.
Survivors include his son, Mike Seago and his wife, Wren, Marietta, GA, daughter, Sheri Shubert, Crisp County, GA, grandchildren, Chloe Tolman, Marietta, GA, Hali Littleton and Cameren Littleton, Leesburg, GA, Elizabeth Whitley and Chris Whitley, Crisp County, GA, Cody Shubert and Samantha Shubert, Leesburg, GA, great-grandchildren, Landyn Littleton, Jasper Littleton, Kannen Littleton, Oaklyn (Oakie) Littleton, Benji Shubert, Emma Shubert, Rosie JoLynn Whitley.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
