Robert Derwood "Bobby" Sellers, Jr.

Benson, NC: Mr. Robert Derwood “Bobby” Sellers, Jr., age 70, was ushered in Heaven early morning on Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025 at Barbour Court Nursing Home in Smithfield, NC. For years, he had anticipated the moment when the Angels of God would visit him. Bobby’s anticipation was blessed and honored by his loving Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM – Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church in Benson. Revs. Roland Harrell, Chris Beasley, and Mark Fields will officiate the service. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at the Falcon Memorial Cemetery in Falcon, NC.

Bobby is survived by his sister, Melinda McLamb-Holland (Larry); nephews, Matthew Carlton, Anthony Carlton; brother-in-law, Martin McLamb; step-son, Jamie Gamble; an uncle, Rev. Roland Harrell and his cousins, Greg Brown, Lisa Brown-Sawyer, Tim Harrell, Jeff Clark, and Pam Fender.

Bobby was loved dearly and appreciated greatly by each of these, but especially by his deceased aunts, Margie, Edna Earle, and Phyllis; his father, Robert, and his mother, Olene, and his grandparents, Rev. N. D., and Emily Sellers.

Bobby would want to say thank you to his church family and to his Crestfield Apartment Family whom he loved and appreciated; and by whom, he will be greatly missed. He would also want to express his gratitude for all the assistance and care that he received from Melinda over the years.

We express gratitude to the Johnston Memorial Hospital and to Barbour Court Nursing and Rehab Center both in Smithfield for their efforts to deliver Bobby back to us healthy.
