Mr. William David Sellers, Jr., age 71, entered into rest on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Springhill Assisted Living of Pageland. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 1, 2025 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Ronald Thurman and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his son, Lane & Lacy Sellers.
In keeping with Mr. Sellers wishes, everyone is welcome to wear their favorite jeans and western wear to his service in honor of him.
Mr. Sellers was born August 6, 1953 in Wadesboro, NC a son of the late William David Sellers, Sr. and Violet Huntley Sellers. He was a retired employee of Crown Cork & Seal with over 35 years of service and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. David never met a stranger and always had time to strike up a conversation. He enjoyed attending auctions and yard sales looking for a deal, and watching old westerns. His greatest enjoyment in life was being “Pa-Dave” to his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sellers was also preceded in death by his sister, Joni Ainsworth.
Survivors include his children, Lynn (Russ) Shepherd of Patrick, SC, and Lane (Lacy) Sellers of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Logan Shepherd, Avery Sellers, and Cutter Sellers; brother, Robert (Joyce) Sellers of Murrells Inlet, SC; brother-in-law, Johnny Ainsworth; nephews, John (Teresa) Ainsworth of Pageland, SC, and Richard (Aleisha) Ainsworth of Cheraw, SC; niece, Faith Sellers.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Springhill Assisted Living of Pageland, McLeod Health of Cheraw, Dr. Travis Novinger and Palmetto Family Medicine, and Gentiva Hospice of Chesterfield for their excellent care and support provided to Mr. Sellers.
