Funeral services for Timothy Andrew Sellers, Jr., age 44 of Calhoun, will be held 2:00, Monday, April 4, 2022, from the sanctuary of Calhoun First Baptist Church at Calhoun with Bro. Neil Everett officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be at the church on Monday beginning at 12:00 Noon and continue until time of service at the church.
Timothy Andrew Sellers, Jr. was born on January 16, 1978, at Monroe, LA to the union of his parents, Timothy Andrew Sellers, Sr. and Donna Lynn Rieger. He passed from this life on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe following a brief illness.
Mr. Sellers was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was an electrician by trade and had been a member of the IBEW for nineteen years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he was gifted to be able to play music on guitar, drums, bass and banjo. He also loved to sing along at his jam sessions. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jasper Clyde Sellers and Madis Sellers; along with his step-brother, Jay Cogburn and his best friend, Bobby Sanford and Step Father Buckey Ray Procell.
Left to cherish the memories of his forty-four years is his beloved wife, Vanessa Smelser Sellers of Calhoun; his mother, Donna Rieger Procell of Calhoun; his father and step mother, Timothy Andrew Sellers, Sr. and Sondra Sellers of Marion; his sons: Tyler Ratcliff of West Monroe, Cody Ratcliff and wife Katherine of Swartz and Michael Sellers of Calhoun; his daughter, Samantha Sellers of Calhoun; his brothers: Jasper Sellers and wife Christina of Calhoun, Jerry Sellers and wife Malia of Calhoun, and Jonah Sellers of Marion; his grandparents, John Paul Rieger and Loudell Marie Williams Rieger; two precious grandchildren who were a light in his life, Hadley Ratcliff and Avery Ratcliff and one grandchild on the way. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Fisher, Damon Ellerbe, Austin Whittington, Trey Wright, Richard Reitzammer and Josh Young. Honorary pallbearers include John Rieger IV, Nick Rieger, Brent Rieger and David Sellers.
