Robert Shatrau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch & Sons Funeral Home - Walled Lake on Nov. 29, 2024.
Robert Mark Shatrau of Commerce was born December 13, 1965 in Pontiac, Michigan to Louis Dennison and Sandra Ann (nee: Willis) Shatrau. He died November 28, 2024 at the age of 58.
Mr. Shatrau is the beloved husband of 30 years to Bonnie. Loving father of Samantha (Devon Seymour) Shatrau and Ryan Shatrau. Dear brother of Dawn (Mark) Pyles, Louis (Martina) Shatrau, William (Carrie) Shatrau, Lisa (Eric) Bagalay, Nicole (Paul Ray Brewer) Shatrau and Chris Shatrau. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Sandra, his father in law Earl Angel along with his nephew Kevin Spence. He is survived by his beloved mother in law Joe Ann Angel, sister and brother in law Susie & John Birge, and nephew Tyler & Tori Birge, his great nephew Little Wyatt and countless other family members who have supported him at each step along the way, especially his dog and best buddy Louis.
Bobby fought cancer for over five years on his terms. But outside his treatment, he continued to work in his garage like he always had. He could work on anything from golf carts, to race cars, even race boats. He continued to evolve and could fix anything! Besides working in his garage he loved spending time with his family, and being at the beach with a good sunset.
He never met a stranger he couldn't connect with. He was quick-witted and always had a joke or story to tell. He was so inspiring and fought cancer until the very end and never complained, even on his worst days. Bobby had a large following of people who genuinely cared about him, his success and well-being, despite thinking otherwise somedays. It is because of these folks that he was able to fight for as long as he did.
Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 Pontiac Trail Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Thursday 12 Noon. Friends may visit Thursday 10 AM until time of service. Memorials to Five Points of Hope in Milford appreciated.
